As part of the hybrid exhibition Everything is in the language we use, Emma Hedditch presented staff with two proposals that focused on structural and administrative questions at Western Front. 

Could (2020) was connected to the artist lodging at Western Front. Considering lodging as a resource that Western Front possesses, Hedditch’s instruction to the staff was to be able to live there. The proposal consisted of the question: “Could any staff member currently working at Western Front live at Western Front for a period of time, if they agreed to take care of the cleaning and other practicalities?” 

Hedditch’s proposals were published on the Western Front website and were created to make information on the labour involved in maintaining an organization and its activities more transparent.
