Description:
While in residence at Western Front, saxophonist Ida Toninato and cellist Émilie Girard-Charest participated in a “marathon” concert in the Grand Luxe Hall alongside twenty-local improvisers. Performing back-to-back sets, the musicians played on affinities between musique actuelle and West Coast improvisation.
Presented in partnership with Coastal Jazz & Blues Society, Music on Main, New Orchestra Workshop (NOW) Society, and Suoni per il Popolo; with support from the Government of Canada and SOCAN Foundation.
Video documentation of this event is available upon request.
