In partnership with Coastal Jazz & Blues Society, Music on Main, New Orchestra Workshop (NOW) Society, and Suoni per il Popolo, Western Front hosted saxophonist Ida Toninato and cellist Émilie Girard-Charest for a ten-day residency as part of the series Trading Places: Un Échange. Montréal-based musicians performed in the Grand Luxe Hall with the NOW Society ensemble, participated in the Trading Places Marathon alongside twenty Vancouver-based improvisers, and performed at Music on Main as part of their Modulus Festival.
