My Eyes in Love

Description:
While in residence at Western Front, Brice Canyon produced the single-channel video My Eyes in Love, which intersperses text cards featuring a homoerotic text with still images of a male centerfold from a magazine. The images are edited using a vertical dissolve, creating a slow, downward visual movement. As the poem unfolds, the stills gradually transition down the man's body before eventually returning to his face.
