Politics and Urban Spaces was a panel discussion presented at Urgent Imagination: Art and Urban Development, Part 2. Speakers included Am Johal, director of SFU Vancity Office of Community Engagement; Seema Jathalal, director of Daniels Spectrum, Toronto; Bob Williams, former Vancouver city councillor; Mike Lombardi, Vancouver School Board trustee; and Caitlin Jones, executive director of Western Front. Presentations by each of the panelists was followed by a question and answer period.

Urgent Imagination: Art and Urban Development was a two-part project that proposed creative alternatives to developer-driven architecture and urban planning in Vancouver. The project generated events, artworks, conferences, and an online platform for critical inquiry into issues concerning urban development, spatial justice, and critical theory.
