Description:
Western Front co-presented a talk by Pauline Oliveros in conjunction with a series of performances and workshops at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Over her fifty-year career, Oliveros profoundly influenced contemporary music through her innovative work with improvisation, electronic music, meditation, myth, and ritual.
Presented in partnership with Emily Carr University of Art + Design and the Charles H. Scott Gallery (now Libby Leshgold Gallery) as part of The Sound I’m Looking For, Part 2, an exhibition of sound-based work by Canadian and international artists curated by Cate Rimmer.
