Description:

Western Front organized a conference on digital technology and the arts to consider how the rise of digital media was transforming culture as well as public and private life on a global scale. The opening roundtable, “Computer Art Versus the State,” featured artists-in-residence Rena Tangens and padeluun, alongside Robert Richardson and Stacey Spiegel.

 Proceedings from the conference were published as working papers for an international festival that convened musicians, graphic artists, poets, scientists, and theorists engaged with the impact of computers on cultural production and everyday life.
