Description:
Longtime collaborators Lucian Ban and Mat Maneri convened in the Grand Luxe Hall for a performance of compositions from their live album Transylvanian Concert (2013). Influenced by the work of Sun Ra, Butch Morris, George Enesco, and Béla Bartók, the album spans original ballads, blues, hymns, and improvisations.
Presented as part of the Bright Moments series, in partnership with Coastal Jazz & Blues Society; with support from the SOCAN Foundation and the Government of Canada.
