Description:
This performance by Martin Bartlett, Peter Hannan, Sergio Barroso, and David Branter subverted the normal structure of a recital, with pieces intercutting and at times overlapping. Included was Bartlett’s “Nautical Almanac” (1975)—a lyrical piece for acoustic instruments—and the debut of a new composition for musician and computer.
The concert was produced by Bill Parsons and mixed by Matt Rogalsky. Presented as part of the New Music Across America Festival, in partnership with Coastal Jazz and Vancouver New Music.
