Description:

Western Front hosted the launch of Radio Rethink: Art, Sound, and Transmission (Banff Centre Press, 1994). Edited by Daina Augaitis and Dan Lander, the anthology explored artists’ use of radio in the context of its history and role as a mass medium. Contributors included Daina Augaitis, Jody Berland, Hank Bull, Margaretta D’Arcy, Frances Dyson, Leonard Fisher, Coco Fusco, Guillermo Gómez-Peña, Heidi Grundmann, Douglas Kahn, Fredrich Kittler, Tetsuo Kogawa, Bobbi Kozinuk, Richard Kriesche, Carol Laing, Dan Lander, Paula Levine, Rita McKeough, Christof Migone, Mary Anne Moser, Patrick Ready, Rober Racine, Kim Sawchuk, Colette Urban, Tim Westbury, Hildegard Westerkamp, Gregory Whitehead, and Paul Wong. 

The event featured a presentation by Augaitis.

Western Front is a non-profit artist-run centre in Vancouver.
