Field:

Performance, Talk

Location:

Grand Luxe Hall, Western Front

Time:

3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Description:

Western Front hosted an afternoon with writer Anakana Schofield to launch her latest novel Library of Brothel (Knopf Canada, 2026). Loosely inspired by the architecture and atmosphere of Western Front’s heritage building, the novel imagines a precarious and unruly space shaped by labour, care, and collective survival.

To begin, Schofield read select passages from the novel. She was then joined in conversation by curator, cultural worker, and writer Caitlin Jones.

Library of Brothel was available for purchase at the event from Pulpfiction Books.

Presented in partnership with Knopf Canada and Pulpfiction Books.

Video documentation is available upon request.
