Description:

.. devolve into II .. was an international network streaming project with several components and manifestations that were facilitated by mediums of exchange such as webcams, audio streams, radio broadcasts, publications, objects, and mail art. It also included on-site installations and performances.

It was informed by the history of telecommunication art and the media of communications to provoke exchange, build networks of artists, and engage in discourse around the role of global networks in culture. It built on a previous iteration, .. devolve into .. created in Oct 2000.

The program was produced by Peter Courtemanche and Roberto Paci Dalò (who also participated as artists) in collaboration with Kunstradio, Vienna and Bayerischer Rundfunk, Munich. It featured local and international artists: Lori Weidenhammer (Vancouver), Kim Dawn and Scott Russell (Vancouver), Markus Decker and Uschi Reiter (Linz), Andrew Garton (Melbourne), Ken Gregory (Winnipeg), Emilia Telese and Timothy Didymus (Brighton), Wolfgang Temmel (Wies), and Fujui Wang (Taipei).
