Performance by Scott Tate

Feb 5, 1993
Field:

Performance

Location:

Grand Luxe Hall, Western Front

Time:

9:00 p.m.

Description:

Scott Tate presented a performance-in-progress reflecting on the military-industrial complex, resource extraction, fascism, and imperialist expansion. The work combined documentary footage from a road trip through British Columbia to Alaska with a Risk board, and live narration that blurred speculation, half-truths, and fiction. At times, Tate’s monologue shifted into song, accompanied by acoustic guitar.
