Concert, Performance

Location:

Grand Luxe Hall, Western Front

Description:

As part of the du Maurier International Jazz Festival (now, Vancouver International Jazz Festival), Western Front presented a multi-instrumental solo concert by David Moss. Through extended technique, spoken word, and electronic processing, Moss explored the percussive potential of the voice. His vocalizations were accompanied by improvisations on a drum kit prepared with coloured foil and balloons, and various stringed instruments and whistles.

Presented in partnership with Coastal Jazz & Blues Society.

Audio and video documentation is available upon request.
