Description:

Lisa Steele presented a lecture and three-channel video installation titled Internal Pornography (1976) in the Grand Luxe Hall. The first monitor shows Steele in bed, the second shows overexposed hands caressing various plants, and the third shows Steele’s nude body in front of a map of the world. The visuals are overlaid with three distinct audio tracks: Steele reading from a dream diary, a musical composition, and Steele reading from a drugstore contraception manual.
