Aritha van Herk

Bio:

Aritha van Herk is a novelist, essayist, and cultural commentator based in Alberta, Canada. Her work often includes feminist themes, and has focused on women’s experiences in Western Canada. She has given readings, lectures, and workshops on culture and community, literature and life, in the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, Spain, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, the Baltics, and Scandinavia. In 2018, she was made a member of the Order of Canada.
