Mercedes Webb is a writer of mixed ancestry, including Haida (Kunn Janaas) and Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw (Mama̱liliḵa̱la), based on Treaty 7 territory (Alberta, Canada). Their writing aims to inform readers and generate interest in the ways art and writing are intrinsically intertwined with present social contexts, and how they inform the futures we may create.
