Ian Wallace

Bio:

Ian Wallace is an artist based in Vancouver, Canada whose practice explores and problematizes the relationship between painting and photography. Wallace is recognized for his contributions as an artist, teacher, and writer to the development of an internationally acknowledged photographic and conceptual art practice in Vancouver. Wallace is the recipient of the 2004 Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts, and was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2012.
