Laura Wee Lay Laq is a Sto:lo ceramic artist based in Chilliwack, Canada. She employs traditional techniques of burnishing and sawdust firing to create her hand-built pots. With over fifty years of experience working with clay, Wee Lay Laq creates forms that are in dialogue with global contemporary ceramics practices while also deeply connected to the land, the elements, and her Sto:lo and Kwakwaka'wakw communities.
