Rodney Graham

Bio:

Rodney Graham was an artist and musician based in Vancouver, Canada. Closely associated with the Vancouver School tradition of photo-conceptualism, Graham’s work was widely informed by art history, literature, philosophy, and popular culture. His experiments in photography, film, sculpture, installation, and sound frequently engaged with the history of technology and the conflict between nature and culture within extraction-based economies. In 2016, Graham was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada for his contributions to Canadian contemporary visual arts.
