Victor Cicansky

Bio:

Victor Cicansky was a Canadian sculptor born in Regina, Saskatchewan. Known for his witty narrative ceramics and bronze fruit and vegetables, his approach to art-making reflected intergenerational gardening practices from his Romanian-Canadian family, contemporary concerns around urban ecology and environmental sustainability, and the joys and trials of supporting life in an urban prairie community. In 2009, Cicansky was made a member of the Order of Canada.
