Communities, Culture, and Consultation was a panel discussion presented as part of Urgent Imagination: Art and Urban Development, Part 2. Speakers included Annabel Vaughan, principal of publicLAB RESEARCH + DESIGN; Geraldine Dening, architect and senior lecturer at Leicester School of Architecture; and Brian McBay, director of 221A. Presentations were followed by a question and answer period.

Urgent Imagination: Art and Urban Development was a two-part project that proposed creative alternatives to developer-driven architecture and urban planning in Vancouver. The project generated events, artworks, conferences, and an online platform for critical inquiry into issues concerning urban development, spatial justice, and critical theory.
