Description:
Presented as part of
Scrivener’s Monthly, Raymond Boisjoly demonstrated the idea of “discrepant” reading using
In On The Kill Taker, the 1993 album by Washington, DC post-hardcore band Fugazi as an overlay in considering the relevance of its lyrical content to ideas of post-1992 Indigenous contemporary art.
Scrivener’s Monthly was a series of public presentations that explored the space between material practices and spoken words. Set alongside exhibitions at Western Front, this experiment in “not publishing” involved readings, performances, and other articulations.
