Description:

In partnership with Coastal Jazz & Blues Society, Music on Main, New Orchestra Workshop (NOW) Society, and Suoni per il Popolo, Western Front hosted saxophonist Yves Charuest and clarinetist/vocalist Elizabeth Lima for a ten-day residency as part of the series Trading Places: Un Échange.

Charuest and Lima presented a concert of new work in the Grand Luxe Hall that played on affinities between musique actuelle and West Coast improvisation. The musicians were accompanied by Peggy Lee (cello), Stefan Smulovitz (electronics), Kenton Loewen (drums), and Ben Brown (percussion).
