A performance by the Montréal-based experimental jazz ensemble NJLQ (Nouveau Jazz Libre de Quebec) Trio, featuring Guy Touin on drums, Bryan Highbloom on tenor saxophone, and Raymon Torchinsky on alto saxophone. The concert marked the west coast launch of their album
En Direct du Suoni per il Popolo (2014).
The concert took place as part of
leftcoast/eastcoast improv—a series presented by New Orchestra Workshop (NOW) Society in celebration of the 50th anniversary of John Coltrane’s album
A Love Supreme (1965).
