Nicolas Bragg’s Listening Party playlist included two works: a 1986 recording from the Western Front archive of Bill Frisell performing a guitar solo in the Grand Luxe Hall as part of a concert with Tim Berne and Alex Cline; and “Kits Beach Soundwalk” (1989) by composer Hildegard Westercamp, presented in celebration of its 30th anniversary.
Western Front’s Listening Party series invited artists to share music that they have found thought-provoking and inspiring. This event series provided a stepping-off point for those looking to further explore new contemporary music.
