Description:

As part of Sonic Playground, Western Front presented a roster of interactive sound installations and performances for all ages at the Roundhouse Community Centre during the Vancouver International Jazz Festival. The event featured works by Diana Burgoyne, Frederick Brummer, Lee Hutzulak and Madoka Hara, and Rachael Wadham that explored music-making with everyday objects.
 
Sonic Playground was a joint initiative of Western Front, Vancouver New Music, and New Orchestra Workshop (NOW) Society that paired youth with professional artists to explore experimental practices in sound and music.
 
Presented in partnership with Roundhouse Community Centre and Coastal Jazz & Blues Society.
