Description:
Perspectives on an Archive was a curatorial mentorship and community outreach project. Emerging curators Kemi Craig, Liz Park, and cheyanne turions were selected from a call to develop a project from works of media art from Western Front’s archive. This residency provided an environment for engagement between a range of curatorial experience and practices to discuss, research, and curate Canadian media art.
The three curators conducted research that culminated in a screening series, an online exhibition, and eponymous publication.
This project was supported by the BC Museum Association’s BC150 grant, and a Canada Council Media Arts Dissemination grant.
Western Front is a non-profit
artist-run centre in Vancouver.
