Western Front hosted artist Deanne Achong for a talk as part of an external Upgrade! Vancouver program organized by Kate Armstrong.Deanne Achong presented a work in progress, Bird, part of a larger piece focussed around the concept of archival material relating to jazz music from 1930 to 1950. Bird was created in Flash, a recombined and altered version of a Quicktime video found online.
