Art in Cyberspace: An Artists Guide To What’s On the Internet

This workshop provided an overview of contemporary artistic activity and future creative possibilities for the internet using Mosaic, Netscape, and the World Wide Web. The evening included an introduction to telecommunications concepts and the Internet, followed by an overview of what artists can see, make, and do online, and the social issues impacting the future of artistic production.

Mosaic Publishing Online: How To Distribute Your Work On the Internet 

This workshop focused on supporting artists in publishing their art online. Topics included selecting and setting up hardware and software, how to choose an online service provider, best design practices related to interactivity, and how to prepare and mark up documents in HTML for online distribution.

Presented in partnership with the Arts Online Series of the Vancouver Cultural Alliance.
