Description:

While in residence at Western Front, electronic artist Jeff Mann continued to develop his work in guerilla television and the use of telecommunications technology for creative expression rather than passive consumption. His project TV Freenet conducted experiments in connecting picture phones and UHF-TV transmitters to the internet, while inviting the public to contribute to a live online, open-source video-mixing network. He also led a roundtable discussion on his practice and approach to destabilizing corporate broadcasting.
