To the Staff of Western Front

As part of the hybrid exhibition Everything is in the language we use, Emma Hedditch presented staff with two proposals that focused on structural and administrative questions at Western Front. The documents were created to make information on the labour involved in maintaining an organization and its activities more transparent.

To the Staff of Western Front (2020) took the form of a survey that was sent to staff and included two questions about their professional roles at Western Front. Participation was voluntary, and the results of the survey—which included responses from Western Front’s archivist, administrative assistant for the new music program, new music curator, exhibition curator, and Hedditch’s own answers as an artist—were collected into a ten-page PDF which was published on the Western Front website.
