Description:
While in residence at Western Front, Elisa Ferrari organized a site visit to Buntzen Lake Reservoir as part of lilithlithlithlithlith—her multimodal sound-based research and performance project that considered the complex interrelation of land use history, power infrastructures, and daily life through a series of actions, events, and collaborations.
The public was invited to join Ferrari on a twelve kilometre walk along the shore of the lake to collectively document the historic hydroelectric infrastructure of the reservoir and its surrounding ecologies.
Western Front is a non-profit artist-run centre in Vancouver.
We acknowledge the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations as traditional owners of the land upon which Western Front stands.
