Description:

As a part of the That ’70s Ho: A Celebration of Women and Performance Circa 1970 performance series, Velveeta Krisp paid tribute to Carolee Schneemann’s performance Interior Scroll (1975). Joined by collaborators Leena Minifie, Rachel Racecar, Karen Moe, Tyler Wheatcroft, Ali Lohan, Juli Saragosa, and Julianna Barabas, they presented a collection of performative interpretations of Interior Scroll.

The short performances engaged with the provocative and feminist spirit of the original piece, the naked female body, and “vulvic space” as coined and demonstrated by Schneemann.
