Conceived and performed by Endre Farkas, An Evening in the Muses’ Company was a two-hour performance that fused poetry, theatre, music, and movement within a salon-soirée setting. The work was composed of eleven pieces, each ranging from two to fifteen minutes, that explored themes such as the breath, the bomb, and the everyday. Elements of the performance also borrowed from Farkas’s book Murders in the Welcome Café (1977).
For his performance at Western Front, Farkas was joined by performer/percussionist Michel Bonneau and dancer Geneviève Raymond.
