Luminous Sites Panel Discussion

Description:

Ian Carr-Harris, Kate Craig, Max Dean, Randy Gledhill and Berenicci Hershorn, David Tomas, Paul Wong, and Cornelia Wyngaarden presented on their works included in the video installation series Luminous Sites. 

The panel provided the participating artists an opportunity to introduce their practices to the public and discuss questions around the medium of video art and installation. Key ideas explored in the discussion were the painterly use of colour and light, the sculptural designation of form and space, the social discussion of content, theatrical references to cultural motifs, the contemplation of space and time, and the realities of technical presence.
