While in residence at Western Front, David Buchan presented his performance The Lamonte del Monte Story—a slideshow that combined text and twelve years of performance documentation to chart the rise and fall of his persona Lamonte del Monte. Although humorous in tone, Monte’s tale unfolded around his susceptibility to fashion trends and acquisitiveness, eventually leading to his demise. Despite his presence on screen and his voice throughout the performance, Buchan did not appear “live” on stage.Related Events
