In October 1990, Western Front hosted a lecture series titled Vancouver Anthology: Lectures on Art in British Columbia. Each Wednesday evening, two papers were presented in the Grand Luxe Hall, providing a forum for contributing writers to test their ideas and research publicly before publication.
The ten papers were later edited and compiled into a book published jointly by Or Gallery Society and Talonbooks. Edited by Stan Douglas, Vancouver Anthology features essays by Marcia Crosby, Sara Diamond, Maria Insell, Robert Linsley, Robin Peck, Nancy Shaw, Keith Wallace, Scott Watson, Carol Williams, and William Wood.
