Field:

Performance

Location:

Robson Square Media Centre, Vancouver

Description:

Combining a lecture with a shadow play and slide projections, Glenn Lewis’s performance Pygmy Reflections explores symbols of utopia and the landscape of the human soul.

The work can be seen as an expansion of Lewis’s 1977 video performance We All Sing the Same Song, in which he considers the figure of the nymph in relation to the origins of paradise.

Presented as part of the Living Art Performance Festival.

Video documentation is available upon request.
