Description:

Staged in a candlelit environment, Andrew Wilson’s performance A Change of Face explored themes of ritual, spectacle, and power. Wearing Ku Klux Klan robes, Wilson and a cast of performers—including children—carried out a sequence of choreographed actions before projected imagery of doves, Michael Jackson, and televised news footage. The performance incorporated a bloodletting ritual, pyrotechnics, and magic tricks.
