Description:

In A New Structural Homeland Exists or An Underlying Principle That Has Shaped Our World, Esther Muirhead scrapes a heap of sand into the outline of a uterus on the floor behind a set of curtains bordered by two television monitors. One monitor shows Muirhead's actions from a bird's eye perspective, and the other displays a slideshow of architectural photographs.

The performance was conceptualized by Ross Muirhead, and presented as part of the Living Art Performance Festival.
