Western Front presented a retrospective of video works by Elizabeth Vander Zaag made between 1976 and 1989, tracing her experimentation with video, computer graphics, and animation.
The title of the exhibition was taken from “Digit,” an animated woman created by Vander Zaag who had a regular slot on the weekly Gina Show on Cable 10 in the late 1970s. Digit Retro presented six video tapes, including: Through the Hole (1981), Potatoes (1983), Baby Eyes (1983), Red Notion (1985), Hot Chicks on TV (1986), and Farm Fantasy (1989).
