Exhibition

Description:

Alexander Pillis’s exhibition Architecture Body Parallax featured four stainless steel operating tables, twelve optically refurbished microscopes—each containing a microfiche of the human body—nine speakers, and a pressure-zone microphone with a delay processor. The elements were brought together to interrogate Canada’s political landscape, referencing Prime Minister Brian Mulroney’s meetings with provincial leaders and the public debate over Quebec’s constitutional referendum.
