Description:

Café Wiencouver was a performance event presented as part of the Wiencouver series. Based on the imaginary place invented by Hank Bull, Wiencouver encompasses a series of exchanges, visits, and events that have taken place between Vancouver and Vienna since 1979.

Café Wiencouver was a four-hour radio web-jam by artists from the virtual city of Reverie; Vancouver, Canada; and Vienna, Austria.

Recreating a cafe atmosphere via broadcasted sound, the Vancouver crew attended to the espresso machine and other gadgets. The Vienna crew took care of the tables. The artists who performed from Vancouver were Roberto Paci Dalò, Anna Friz, Francesca Mizzoni, Igor Santizo, Ken Roux, and Adam Sloan.

Café Wiencouver was programmed as part of a multi-day celebration of Art’s Birthday.
