Members of Western Front and Video Inn competed in a sand castle building contest at Third Beach. Teams were only allowed to use sand and organic materials found on site, manual tools, and molds only in the following shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval.
The sand sculptures were judged on design, creativity, and originality using a rubric based on Robert Filliou’s Principle of Equivalence: "well made", "badly made" and "not made."
