Description:
Touched by a Monster was a one hour performative musical parody narrated through spoken word, original songs, and popular culture. Reade also used instruments, masks, video projection, and animation to create the various acts of the performance.
Reade explored the human condition focusing on the literal and metaphorical monsters that live within and amongst us. The vignettes ranged from a story about a boy who breathes fire, a countryfied song about a murderous movie star, a cartoon about Santa in Afghanistan, to a "Monster Pride Rally" that tried to bring all monsters "out from under the bed."
