Description:
Junk was a live performance by Derek Champion. Champion was underneath a large plastic tarp that covered the floor of the Grand Luxe Hall with household items, toys, tools, and other common objects strewn across the floor. A camera recorded Champion as he moved across the space and manipulated the objects to produce sound to create new textures and realities from their everyday uses.
Myano was a performance-installation by Joe Winter with a deconstructed piano that was modified to be electronically amplified and modulated with contact and feedback. Winter screened a short video that documented his performance with the piano around Warren College’s campus before performing live. The evening closed with a question and answer session with Winter.
Presented in partnership with New Forms Festival.
Video documentation is available upon request.
