Description:

Two concerts were streamed between Vancouver and Helsinki, Finland. The ensembles interacted via video and audio streaming as well as instant messaging during each respective forty-minute performance. Both ensembles used instruments, electronics, digital sound processing, and acoustic improvisation in their performance. 

The performance in Helsinki was at the Sibelius Academy with twelve members of ImproMasters, conducted by Shinji Kanki.

Western Front hosted the Vancouver performance in the Grand Luxe Hall with participants from the New Orchestra Workshop, conducted by Nikki Carter. Musicians included Steve Bagnell (reeds/flute), Lisa Butel (voice), Blythe Donner (trombone), Fabienne Lacroix (clarinet/tuned glasses), Pessi Parviainen (guitar/percussion), Joe Rzemeniak (trumpet), Dawn-Zoe Simpson (accordion), and Randy Trottier (clarinet).
