Fred Wah

Bio:

Fred Wah is a writer based in Vancouver and the West Kootenays, Canada. Wah’s work spans poetry, fiction, and non-fiction, and often involves collaborations with visual artists. His practice explores themes of hybridity, memory, lineage, and diasporic identity. He was Canada’s Parliamentary Poet Laureate from 2011 to 2013, and made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2013.
