Musicity 84 was a Vancouver new music festival produced by Hank Bull, Alex Varty, and Colin Griffiths to accompany the multi-venue exhibition Art City. The festival showcased a diverse roster of emerging musicians working between popular and experimental music.
Musical groups and artists presented in the festival included: Courage of Lassie (Laiwan, Ron Anon, Mady No, Rod Booth), The Flying Undercups (Eric Wyness and Gordon Koch), Cassation Group (Andrew Czink and Clemens Rettich), Lyn Vasey, GX Juppiter-Larson, Alex Varty, Richard Walliser performing work by Douglas Schmidt, and Hextremities (Kenneth Newby, Martin Gotfrit, DB Boyko, Andreas Kahre, Mark Parlett, Randy Raine-Reusch).
